Kenneth L Thomas, 62, of Mayflower, son of Avanell Owens Thomas &the late Garland Thomas, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008.
Mr. Thomas was a loving husband, father, son & brother, who placed family first. He was a friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & being outdoors. He was known for his smile & sense of humor. He loved to cook for family & friends. He retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Services after 26 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Beverly Gibson Thomas; two sons, Brandon & Monica Thomas-Weisenfels, & David Thomas & Latesha; sister, Judy & Don Ross; mother-in-law, Johnnie Gibson; sister-in-law, Kay Camper; brothers-in-law, Frank & Robert Gibson, nieces, Melody & David Partridge & Brandi & John Bensen; nephews, Jeremy Gibson & Trey Gibson; friend, Tristan (Little Buddy) Howell; great-nieces, Maddie & Lauren Bensen & great-nephew, Jacob Partridge & his dog Jake.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Kayson Camper.
Chris Wilson, Travis Howell, Nick Howell, John Bensen, Jeremy Gibson, Trey Gibson, Aaron Weisenfels & Adam Weisenfels served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Lester Storment, Bill Brannan, Bill Sullivan & Kelly Coble.
