When Clyde Cecil Turner was born on July 22, 1888, in Conway, Arkansas, his father, Benton, was 48 and his mother, Mary, was 28. He married Maudie Viola Sellers on December 1, 1913, in Faulkner Township, Arkansas. They had eight children during their marriage. He died on May 15, 1975, in his hometown at the age of 86, and was buried in Mayflower, Arkansas.
