Winston Earl Rogers, 78, of Conway, died Saturday, (October 4, 2003) at the McCellen Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock.
Born Oct. 16, 1924, in Faulkner County, he was the son of the late Winston Esby Rogers and Lily Mae Fowler Rogers.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Eddie Rogers; a brother, Gene Rogers; two sisters, Annie Darlene Ruple and Katherine Lorena Gwatney; and two grandchildren.
He was a mechanic, a farmer, a World War II Army veteran, and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Lorene Paul Rogers; two sons, Larry Rogers and Jimmie Rogers, both of Conway; three daughters, Virginia Gentry, Wanda Sturtz, and Betty Rogers, all of Conway; 12 grandchildren, 2 stepgrandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Oak Bowery Baptist Church with Bob King officiating. Burial will follow in Beryl Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
Pallbearers are Brian Kirk, Austin Kyzer, Robbie Daves, Ronnie Daves, Bobby Sturtz, Gary Sturtz, Mark Broom, Andy Coon, and Chad Butler.
