March 2, 1932 - February 15, 2012
Lois Meeker, 79 passed from this life February 15, 2012 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born March 2, 1932 in Walnut Ridge to Charlie and Annie Ruel Heard. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and a homemaker. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Hoxie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Meeker; daughters, Georgia Gullett and Diana Meeker ; sons, Ronnie Lee Meeker and Floyd Dean Meeker.
She is survived by four sons, Charles (Butch) Meeker and Junior Meeker both of Hoxie, Ray Meeker of Salem, Mo and Billy Meeker of Hoxie; daughter, Kathy Young of Hoxie; sisters, Charlene Nelson of Grannite City, Illinois and Onia Wilburn of Walnut Ridge; sister-in-law, Thelma Heard of Hoxie; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the House Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Meeker and Rebecca Lapiro officiating. Burial will follow in Whittaker Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers: Josh Meeker, Junior Lee Meeker, Odell Meeker, Josh Meeker, Justin Meeker, T.J. Nash and Jamie Mize.
