Irene Parish, 86, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Wiseman, died Friday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1918, at Success, Ar., a daughter of the late Bill and Carrie Leach Alexander.

She was reared and received her early education at Corning and attended Corning Schools. She had been a resident of Pine Bluff for the past seven years. She spent most of her life in Wiseman, moving there when she married Fred Stanford Parish. She was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church at Oxford. She worked as a cook at the Horsebend Clubhouse until retiring in 1990.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Stanford Parish, her step-father, Cardie Harper, a daughter, Diane Parish, two brothers, Eddie Alexander and Orvil Alexander, and a granddaughter, Jo Ann Goad.

Survivors include a daughter, Lula Mae Valetine of Pine Bluff; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral Services wiil be at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with the Rev.Jeremy Franklin officiating. Burial will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday in Oxford Cemetery at Oxford.
