OXFORD — Armilda Sherrell Everett, 81, of Oxford died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, in Batesville.
Born March 9, 1930, in Brockwell, she was the daughter of William and Myrtle McCurley Sherrell. She was a 1949 graduate of Oxford High School. She was united in marriage to James Everett on Jan. 15, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo. She was employed by Mar-Bax Shirt Company and Calico Rock Senior Citizens Center. She was of the Church of Christ faith and was a member of Oxford Church of Christ.
Survivors include three brothers, Darrell Sherrell and Harlan Sherrell, both of Oxford, and Shelby Sherrell of Ash Flat; two granddaughters, Stephanie Heidelberg and Danielle Davis, both of Searcy; and four great-grandchildren, Abby Heidelberg, Lacey Heidelberg, Connor Davis and Linley Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, William Richard Everett and Jimmy Lynn Everett; five brothers, Lloyd Sherrell, Vearl Sherrell, Hearl Sherrell, Cecil Sherrell and Dale Sherrell; and a sister, Oma Robbins.
The funeral was at 10 a.m. today at Howard Memorial Chapel with Steve Stevenson officiating. Burial was in Oxford Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers were Randy Sherrell, Russell Sherrell, Alan Sherrell, Tom Curtis and Steve Stevenson.
