NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Arthur O. Piper, age 89, of North Little Rock, formerly of Monticello, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009, at Baptist Springhill in North Little Rock. He was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Drew County, to the late Harry Piper and Viola Stephenson Piper. He was a retired Air Force veteran of WWII, a Mason and a member of Gardner United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, and a granddaughter, Piper Graves.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Etheridge Piper of North Little Rock; one daughter, Phyllis Graves of North Little Rock; and one granddaughter, Carolyn Graves of Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial in Green Hill Cemetery with military honors and Masonic rites.
