Joyce Marie (Sherrell) Bryant

Joyce Marie Bryant, of Oxford, daughter of Thelma Faye Ballard Sherrell and the late Eldridge Sherrell, was born April 16, 1943, in Oxford, Ark. She died June 19, 2004, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo., at the age of 61.
She married Gerold Wayne Bryant Dec. 24, 1958, in Jot Em Down, Ark. To this union two daughters were born.
She drove the senior citizens bus for Fulton County for 15 years. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Gerold of Oxford; daughters -- Paula Ann Murray of Salem, and Dana Denise Bryant of Jonesboro; a granddaughter -- Chasity LeAnn Murray and fiance, Anand Agrawal of Orange, Calif.; her mother, Faye Sherrell of Melbourne; mother-in-law, Ted Bryant of Salem; a brother, Donnie Sherrell and wife, Patsy of Joplin, Mo.; sisters -- Billie Prewett and husband, Wayne, of West Plains, Mo., Lena Faye Dockins and husband, Billy, of Oxford, and Pam Johnson and husband, Joe, of Mammoth Spring; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; her son-in-law, Don Murray and her grandparents.
The funeral was June 22 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Union with burial in the Oxford Cemetery. Arrangements were by Cox-Blevins Funeral Home.
