JONES, Fannie - Mrs. Fannie Jones, wife of Baley Jones, fell asleep March 2nd, 1912 at 3 a.m. She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn her loss, the children all being at home except one, Mrs. Nute Douglas, who resides at Lincoln, Washington county, came and ministered unto her until the end came. She professed faith in Christ about 1891 but didn't unite with any church. She was an ardent but patient sufferer but few brief days from pneumonia when she was not, for God took her. And as she saw her bodily forces swiftly yielding to the power of her disease, and realizing that the final moment was only a little way off, and as the mist of the future began to fade from her vision and the eternal light of Heaven began to break in upon her soul, she called her husband, children and friends to her bedside, and taking each one by the hand told them what she wanted them to do, and to her aged mother, "Mother be a good woman the balance of your days which will be but few, and meet me in Heaven." She said, "It is hard to leave the children but all is well." Her funeral services were conducted by Rev. Woodruff on the following day at the Vaughn church in the presence of many bereaved and sorrowing friends, after which her remains were quietly laid to rest in the Barron graveyard to await the final summons on the resurrection morn. A Sister.

JONES, Fannie SMITH - {from Highfill} Mrs. Fannie Jones, wife of Bailey Jones, died on Saturday morning at 3 o'clock at the home of her father, Wm. Smith. She was in Highfill on Saturday and went to take care of her mother for a few days, who was sick. She was taken sick on Sunday with a bad cold and it developed into pneumonia and she died as above stated. This is a sad blow to the grief stricken family for on the Saturday before she was taken sick she was well as she ever was. Funeral services were held at the church in Vaughn. Interment in the Barnes cemetery She leaves besides a husband, several children, father, mother, brothers and sisters to mourn their loss, who have our heartfelt sympathy in their sad bereavement.
