FOSTER, Florence DOUGLAS - Mrs. Florence Douglas Foster, wife of Dr. W D. Foster, widely known Gravette physician, died at the family home in that city Sunday, May 31, 1931 at the age of nearly 62 years. Her death was not unexpected as she had been ill for nearly a year and for the past two months had been in a critical condition. Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Joe English of Gentry assisted by the Rev. F.A. Bradshaw of the Vaughn Presbyterian Church, were held at the Baptist Church in Gravette Monday afternoon. The funeral was largely attended and the floral offerings were many and beautiful. Burial was made in the Barron Cemetery near Vaughn following the services. Mrs. Foster was born near the old Temperance Hill church July 29, 1869 and had lived in the county practically all her life. Her parents were among the pioneers of this section. During her girlhood Mrs. Foster united with the Baptist Church and has been a member of the Baptist churches at Bentonville and Gravette. She was married to Dr. Foster September 5th, 1914. Surviving her are a brother, Morris Douglas, of Maysville and a sister whose home is in Amarillo, Texas.

Rev. Joe English, pastor of the First Baptist church, Gentry, conducted the funeral service at the Baptist church in Gravette for Mrs. W.D. Foster Monday afternoon. Burial was in the Barron cemetery near Gravette. Mrs. Foster was an aunt of Miss Bess Mae Douglas of Gentry who accompanied Rev. and Mrs. English to Gravette.
