Rogers -- Joseph A. Bowman, 81, retired Pea Ridge farmer, died today in the Rogers hospital. He was born March 12, 1885 in Benton County and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Etta Maude Bowman of the home; one son, J.D. and one daughter, Mrs. Troy Ash both of Rogers; one brother, Charles of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Wright of Paris City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Callison Chapel with burial in Reddick Cemetery.

MRS. ETTA BOWMAN
Mrs. Etta Maude Bowman, 90, 208 S. 7th St., Rogers, died Dec. 22 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born June 29, 1888 at Garfield, she was the daughter of George Washington and Sarah Ellen Campbell Cline and the widow of Joe D. Bowman, to whom she was married in Joplin, Mo., in 1907. She had lived on a farm in the Pine Log community and moved to Pea Ridge in 1956. She moved to Rogers after the death of her husband. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers.

Survivors include one son, J.D. Bowman of Rogers; one daughter, Mrs. Troy (Norma) Ash of Rogers; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Burns Funeral Home, Rogers, with Jack Garner and the Rev. Dale Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Ruddick Cemetery. Visitation hours are 6-8 p.m. today in Burns' Rogers Chapel.
