"Sugarfoot"
Burl "Sugar Foot" Pearson, 81, of Junction City, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at his residence.
The son of Pink and Gracie Pearson, he was born April 3, 1926. He was a member of Mount Union Baptist Church of Junction City. He was retired from the Caterpillar Tractor Co. of Milwaukee after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Gertie Mae Clark Pearson of Junction City; one daughter, Melbertine Shaw of Junction City; and three sons, Jewel W. Pearson, Ronald Pearson, and Kevin Pearson, all of Junction City; and two sisters, Clotee Gray and Juanita Gray of Milwaukee.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Mount Union Baptist Church in Junction City with the Rev. Raymond Jordan Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Community Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.
Public viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time for viewing.
