HICKMAN, William - {from Pea Ridge} Again the death angel has visited our neighborhood and called one of our best citizens, Wm. Hickman, better known here as "Uncle Bill." He had been in poor health for a long time but his condition had only been considered serious for a few days. Death was the result of the grippe and pneumonia. He died Saturday about 10 o'clock. He was a very earnest Christian man, a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, a kind neighbor and a devoted husband and father. He leaves a wife and seven children besides brothers and sisters to mourn his loss. Rev. Phillips conducted the funeral services Sunday, Feb. 26th at the family cemetery where the remains were laid to rest until the resurrection morning.
