Glen G. Byers, 46, Rt. 1, Decatur, died at home Oct. 2. Born Oct. 19, 1931, in Centerton, he was the son of Olin and Esta Gholson Byers. He was a lifetime Decatur resident, Korean War veteran and truck driver for Springdale Farms.
Survivors inclue a daughter, Treasa Byers of Bentonville; his parents of Decatur; four brothers, John Byers of Long Beach, Calif., Powell Byers of Bentonville, Jack Byers of Gentry and Roy Byers of Indio, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. Clara Jo Houston of Garden Grove, Calif., Mrs. Veva Ann Saville of Purdy, Mo., Mrs Lavon Mahaffey of Indio, Mrs. Larue Foster of Elkins and Mrs. Sue Ellen Lee of Wichita, Kan.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, near Decatur, with the Rev. Wayne McKensie and the Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial will be Coffelt Cemetery under direction of Wasson Feneral Home, Siloam Springs.
