Esta Byers
Esta Gertrude Byers, 86, of Decatur, died Tuesday, April 23, at Fayetteville.
She was born Dec. 19, 1904, in the Mason Valley Community to William A. Gholson and Jessie Leila Butler Gholson, and was a lifetime resident of Benton County. She was a retired Stanley Products dealer. She was affiliated with the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Olen J. Byers; four sons, John J. Byers of Bullhead City, Ariz., Powell D. Byers of Bentonville, Paul Jack Byers of Gentry, and Roy Byers of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; five daughters, Clara J. Houston of Kingman, Ariz., Veva Ann Saville of Cassville, Mo., LaVon Houser of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., LaRue Foster of Fayetteville, and Sue Ellen Lee of Prairie Grove; a sister, Veva E. Rhindle of Hollister, Mo.; 28 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne McKenzie officiating. Burial is to be in Coffelt Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
