Delbert Wilburn Bland, 78, of Springdale, Ark., died Sept. 5, 2000, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born March 31, 1922, in LaRue, Ark., to H.E. Bland and Loy Ford Bland.
He was a poultry grower and loved to fish. He was a veteran of World War II, serving 34 months in the 460th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Force, serving most that time stationed in Italy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springdale.
Survivor's include his wife of 57 years, Lora Irene Graham Bland; two sons, Jerry D. Bland and Leon F. Bland, both of Fayetteville; a brother, James Bland of Bentonville; two sisters, Vada June Scott of Mexico, Mo.; and Ola Mae Christie of Springfield, Mo.; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two step-grandsons; and a step-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Foster.
Burial will be in Bland Cemetery in Rogers with arrangements by Rollins Funeral Home.

SPRINGDALE — Lora Irene Bland, age 86, of Springdale, died July 9, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born in Huntsville, Ark, on April 13, 1925, to the late Irving and Nettie (Keeling) Graham.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Bland and wife, Michelle, of Fayetteville, and Leon Bland and wife, Pam, of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Ola Mae Christie and husband, Keith, of Springfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert Bland, who died in 2000; and a granddaughter, Jessica Currier.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m today, Jul 12, 2011, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home, officiated by Charlie Foster. Interment will follow in Bland Cemetery.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 34 Colt Square Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
