John Norman Ritchie, 62, of Cannon Creek community. died Jan. 12 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Jan. 9, 1916, at Crosses, he was the son of Floyd and Della Walker Ritchie and a retired truck driver. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Shelton Tucker Post.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Olive Steffey Ritchie of the home; six sons, Johnnie Lee Ritchie of Crosses, Floyd H. Ritchie and Larry Ritchie of Elkins, Steve Ritchie of Fayetteville, Dale Ritchie of Cannon Creek and George "Pat" Ritchie of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Dain of Germany and Mrs. Hope Wyatt of Kingston, and 13 grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Walnut Grove Church neat Crosses. Buriel will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.
