Violet Cliffie Whitaker, age 91 of Melbourne, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Melbourne, Arkansas.
She was born September 27, 1918 in Springfield, Missouri to the late Harry and Cliffie Anderson. Violet was a member of the Tower Grove Baptist Church in St. Louis. Missouri.
Violet is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Fred Whitaker; two brothers Dean and Lee Anderson.
She is survived by one son, Ron Whitaker of Batesville, Arkansas; one daughters, Marilyn Scwhartz of Palm Springs, California; three granddaughters Sarah Harms of St. Charles, Missouri, Bridget Curtis Of Palm Springs, California and Lisa Pinkston of Batesville, Arkansas; five grandsons, Brandon Curtis of Honolulu, Hawaii, Nathan Whitaker of Chesterfield, Missouri, Frank Clayton and James Clayton both of Batesville, Arkansas and Chad Swaims of El Paso, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville, Arkansas.
There will be a Graveside service Saturday at 10:00 A.M. February 13, 2010 at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, Arkansas.
