Obitaury for Edna Neal Harris:
Edna Neal Harris of Melbourne, daughter of the late William Neal, Sr. and Mary Etta McVay Neal, was born January 12, 1911 in Brockwell. She died April 19, 1996 at White River Medical Center in Batesville. She was 85.
Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville.
Survivors include one brother, Willie Neal of Salem and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Harris; and infant son Kenneth Wayne Harris; three brothers and three sisters.
Services were held April 22, 1996 at the Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Glen Pace and Church Crow officiating.
Pallbearers were Jerry Arnold, Connal Lee Arnold, Billy Jones, Danny Lindsey, David Owens, and Gordon Owens. Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Neal and Ray Neal.
Interment was at Flat Rock Cemetery in Calico Rock under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
