Pearl Beard, age 84, of Midway, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Gassville Nursing Center. She was born February 25, 1927, in Norfork, Arkansas to Edgar and Hettie (Dickerson) Parnell.
Mrs. Beard married Harvey Beard October 29, 1945 in Norfork, Arkansas. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Beard is survived by her husband: Harvey Beard of Midway, Arkansas three sons: Doyle Beard and wife Jo Ann of Gassville, Arkansas, Billy Joe Beard and wife Cathy of Three Brothers, Arkansas and Daryl Beard and wife Cindy of Gassville, Arkansas, a daughter: Glenda Farris and husband Ernie of Cabot, Arkansas, three sisters: Ruby Hargett of Norfork, Arkansas, Alteen Rand and husband Howard of Rodney, Arkansas and Nancy Southard and husband Keith of Springfield, Missouri, a daughter-in-law: Susie Beard of Higginsville, Missouri, nine grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons: Donald Lee, Jerry and Tommy, four brothers: Gearl, Merl, Macy and Jack and two sisters: Mary and Lucille.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Celebrant Frank Daniels officiating. A visitation will be Monday from Noon - 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Galatia Cemetery.
