SHERIDAN — Charles Thomas “Sidecar Charlie” Brennemen, 71, of Sheridan, died June 9 at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock.
He was born May 31, 1935, at East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Ford Brenneman and Nellie DeLong Brenneman. He was a member of the First Assembly of God at Sheridan. He was an Air Force veteran.
He retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal and had worked at West Bend at Sheridan. He was a member of Arkansas Bikers Aiming Towards Education (ABATE) 12, a member of the Arkansas and National Muzzleloading Association, and a member of the National Rifle Association, the United Sidecar Association and the JD&R Hunting Club.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Brenneman (Married 4 Aug 1956).
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Ballentine of Sheridan; one brother, Dennis Brenneman of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Nancy Penn of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Assembly of God at Sheridan with Jimmy Bobo, Trent Henderson and Herb Del Santo officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God, 310 West Vine, Sheridan, Ark., 72150, or to ABATE of Arkansas, P.O. Box 20849, White Hall, Ark., 71602.
