Lois Vanettia Nooner Chambers, age 69, of Perryville, Ark., died April 7, at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs.

She was born Jan. 8, 1939, in Perry County, Ark., to the late William Thomas Nooner and Martha Elizibeth Martin Nooner. She was a homemaker who had worked as a nursing assistant, assisted with food service, and had worked as a security guard before her retirement.

Mrs. Chambers was a member of Cherry Hill Free Will Baptist Church, as well as an avid reader. She also enjoyed going to deer camp with her family and was an awesome grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Chambers was preceded in death by three brothers: Bud Nooner, John Price Nooner and Robert Whiley; sister, Nancy Watson; husband, Dan Chambers; and a son, Charles Ed Brown.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Blair and husband Carl of Hollis, Ark., and Kimber Richardson and husband Roy of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Lucille Flewellen and husband Jim of Hollis, Margie Nooner Kincaid and husband Richard of Guy, and Wanda Roland of Blanchard, Okla.; five grandchildren, Steve Richardson of Hot Springs; Elizabeth and C.J. Blair, both of Hollis, and April and Jamie Brown, both of Little Rock; and two great-grandchildren, Nicky and Steven Le Richardson; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and a special Aunt Myrtle Crawford of Hollis.

Funeral service were held April 11 at Valley Home Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Jimmie Scott and Sonny Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Dry Fork Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Flewellen, Gary Paul Farnam, Nicholas Ballew, Zachary VanNorman, Ben Humphreys and David Smith. Honorary bearers were Leonard Jones, Jim Flewellen, Mike Flewellen, Dewey Watson, Dr. Diane Bodeman, Dr. Melody St. John, Dr. Greg St. John, Dr. C.D. Williams, Dr. Koehn, Arkansas Heart Hospital, Arkansas Hospice of Hot Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Valley Home Missionary Baptist, Cherry Hill Free Will Baptist, Arkansas Hospice of Hot Springs or the charity of your choice.
