November 22, 1912 - June 3, 1964
Woodrow W. Christie, 51, a construction worker of Wesson, died in a local hospital Wednesday at 9:15 p.m. after a brief illness. Mr. Christie, who spent the greater part of his life in Union County, was born near Summerfield, La., Nove. 22, 1912, the son of Otis and Leola Grant Christie. He was a member of Wesson Masonic Lodge No. 580. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Moss Christie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Christie of Wesson; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Ainsworth and Miss Christine Christie, both of Wesson, and Mrs. Mary Sue Dawson of Camden; four nephews and a niece. Funeral services have been announced for Friday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, Highway 15, South, with the Rev. Winston Hudnall and the Rev. Clyde Duke officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary, with Masonic rites at the grave. The body will remain at the mortuary until one hour before the service.
