The White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, May 6, 1999:
Stephanie Kay Avey, daughter of Donna Kay Whited and the late Jimmie Dale Sanders was born on October 14, 1974 in Calico Rock. She died April 28, 1999 in Little Rock. She was 24.
Mrs. Avey was united in marriage to Randal Eric Avey on October 29, 1993 in Ash Flat. To this union one daughter was born. She was a graduate of Calico Rock High School. She was employed by First National Bank of Izard County. She was a member of the Dolph Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Randall Eric Avery of the home; one daughter, Erica Danielle Avey of the home; her mother, Donna Whited of Calico Rock; two sisters, Carla Vredenburg of Dolph and Cindy Gillaspie of Violet Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Dale Sanders.
Funeral services were held May 1, 1999, at the Calico Rock Chapel. Pallbearers were Brian Bailey, Dean Bailey, Sean Bailey, Phillip Vredenburg, Shane Vredenburg and Rick Gillaspie.
Interment was at Dolph Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home of Calico Rock.
