Alma Cathryn McGriff of Calico Rock, daughter of the late Benton Fate and Miffie Lou Annie Leach Kelley was born August 28, 1910 in Center Mississippi. She died July 26, 1997 at the Medical Center of Calico Rock.
Mrs. McGriff was united in marriage to W. F. McGriff July 14, 1924. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Merle Beckham of Camden; and Billie Bell of Calico Rock; two sons, Robert L. McGriff of Melbourne; and Ed McGriff of Jefferson, Texas; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, three sisters, two grandsons and one great-grandson.
Graveside services were held July 26, 1997 at Wises Chapel in Crossroads with Brother Larry Neldon officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
