Lorraine W. Simon, 89, of Maumelle went to be with our Lord on Friday, July 19, 2013. She was born on February 20, 1924, Milan, Tennessee.
She was the daughter of Verna Gardner (Willie) and Curtis Watson. She was a loving mother, homemaker, member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by her son, Jim Dickson (Jane) of Maumelle; a daughter, Brenda K. Vernon (John) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; sons, Joseph Simon (Judy); Darrel Simon; daughter, Joyce Quibodeaux (Percey); (all of Sulphur, Louisiana); five grandchildren, Donna Thompson, Sherri Proctor (Timothy), Jammie Bonds (Stephen), Ranie Good (Rob), Seth Vernon (Francesca); five great-grandchildren, Nathan Thompson, Chelsea Thompson, Teddy Maxwell, Jr. (Lauren), Kristen Moore, and Olivia Finch Vernon; and one great-great-grandchild, Emery Richmond.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Wallace F. Simon and baby daughter, Judy Ann Dickson.
Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Highway 300, Little Italy, Arkansas, (501) 759-2371.
The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 A.M. at the church, with Father Richard Davis officiating.
Interment will be held at St. Francis Cemetery following the funeral mass.

Wallace F. Simon, 82, of Maumelle went to be with our Lord Friday, May 7, 2004. Born in Kaplan, Louisiana, May 21, 1921, he was the son of the late Semar and Emella Abshire Simon. He was a retired home builder, a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Council 6680. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine W. Simon of the home; a son, Joseph Simon (Judy); a daughter, Joyce Quibodeux (Percy); and a son, Darrell Simon, all of Sulphur, Louisiana; a son, Jim Dickson (Jane) of Maumelle; and a daughter, Brenda K. Vernon (John) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. this evening at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Little Italy.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2004 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Little Italy with Reverend James West officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to Arkansas Hospice, 5600 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72204 or to Parkinson’s Support Group, Shepherd’s Center of Little Rock, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72227.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the VA Home Health Care, Arkansas Hospice, and Angela Aleman.
