Phyllis J. McKinney, 83, of Bigelow, Arkansas, died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at her home. She was born October 3, 1927, in New Lothrop, Michigan, a daughter of the late Henry L. and Gladys (Smith) Horton. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Regina McKinney, and a sister, Nina Evans.

Mrs. McKinney was a member of the Bigelow Church of Christ; and was retired from Timex, Polaroid; and was a gate keeper for Toad Suck Park, along with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Louis McKinney; children, Diana McKinney, Nathan , Tom , Judy Dickens , and Sharon Haley McKinney; grandchildren, Jennifer Presson, Michelle Morris, Brandi Bourne, Russell, Nathan, and Thomas Allen McKinney; great-grandchildren, Cameron Summers, Julia Bourne, Khloe and Karliegh McKinney; sisters, Marcelene Peterson and Grayce Shepherd.

Visitation will be from 4 – 6:00 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 6, 2010, at the Bigelow Church of Christ, with Mr. Taylor Francis officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, near Bigelow, with Nathan McKinney, John Hudspeth, Russell and T. A. McKinney, Rob McCully and Danny Bourne serving as pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, Arkansas. 501-327-7727.
