Mrs. Bessie Viola Nash, 72, of Route Two, El Dorado, died in a Junction City nursing home Thursday at 6 a.m. after a long illness. Mrs. Nash was born in Union County July 11, 1891, the daughter of Rev. Charlie Kinard and Nancy Henry Kinard. She spent the greater part of her life in this county. She was a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Brady F. Nash; three brothers, Sam A. Kinard of El Dorado, Wheeler Kinard of Junction City and Jim Kinard of Magnolia, and a sister, Mrs. Jim Parker of Summerfield, La. Funeral services have been announced for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Smith and the Rev. Leroy Jones officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will be taken to the family home Friday at 10 a.m. (The El Dorado Times - April 23, 1964)
