August 8, 1863 - January 24, 1949
Mrs. Carrie C. Beason, aged 86, wife of the late J. A. Beason, who died in Rison in 1932, passed away Monday at the home of her daughter in Wiester, Okla.
Mrs. Beason was born in Missouri, but in early life moved to Dardanelle. She later resided at Bellville, Rison, Hot Springs and in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Methodist church for 70 years.
Surviving Mrs. Beason are two sons, Joe Beason of Rison and Elmer Beason of Wiester, Okla.; four daughters, Mrs. Mattie Fraley, Paducah, Ky.; Mrs. Annie Cloninger, Beebe; Mrs. Minnie Fullen, Wiester, Okla.; and Mrs. Willie Walters, Monticello. Funeral services are to be held this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Rison Methodist church, the Rev. Bryan Stephens, the pastor, conducting the services. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery here. Pallbearers selected are Penn Ramick, E.M. Hillyard, Walter Jones, T.H. Glover, G.W. Turner, Jack Owens, Martin Morgan, and J.H.Shaw. Rufus T. Buie Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
