MRS. SUZANNE J. THOMPSON DIES NORTH OF BENTONVILLE
Mrs. Suzanne Pinyon Thompson, widow of Thomas Thompson, died at her home in the Dug Hill community last Friday night. She was 83 years of age. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon with the burial in the Dug Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Georgia in 1851 and came here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pinyon when a girl. They located on Sugar Creek, nine miles north of Bentonville, in which community she spent the remainder of her life. Pinyon Hollow was named for her father, who was one of the early settlers in that part of the county.
Six children survive her: three sons, Robert, Lee and Hugh Thompson all living in Dug Hill community and three daughters, Miss Violet Thompson and Mrs. Essie Wilson of Fort Smith.
