Ruth Edna Steele, age 91, of Houston, Arkansas, passed away June 13, 2010. She was born April 12, 1919, the daughter of Ernest Hill and Odar Lawson Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Houston Assembly of God.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Allen Steele and wife Betty Routh of Sumter, South Carolina and Darryl William Steele and wife Kay of Mena, Arkansas; a daughter, Patricia Ann Kidder and husband Wade of Beebe, Arkansas; two brothers, Arnold Hill of Houston and Wallace Gene Hill of Perryville, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Ellen Lamb; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle William Steele; five brothers, Jack Hill, Alvin Hill, Adolph Hill, Leonard Hill, and Frankie Hill; three sisters, Inez Kyzer, Ruby Woolf and Iva Mae Edmondson and a granddaughter, Angela Routh Steele.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Harris Chapel with Bro. Buddy Wroten and Bro. John Chapman officiating. Burial will be at May Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Houston Assembly of God or May Cemetery
