Margaret Ethel Black was born February 22, 1883 at Bovilar Montana. Her parents were John W. Black born about 1856 in Missouri. Her mother was Mary Bell Cooper, born about 1861 in Marion Township, Polk County, Missouri.

Margaret first married Charles William Vititow, born in1864 at Sulphur Springs, Hopkins Co TX. With Charles she had two children, Nannie Viola Vititow born March 05, 1903, and Cicero William Vititow born February 04, 1905.

After Charles Vititow died, in 1905, she married William David Ruff September 25, 1910. With William D Ruff she had ten children, four who lived to be adults. She lost two sets of twins and one girl. The children who lived were; John David Ruff born 1913, (my father), Mable Faye Ruff born February 21, 1915, James Newton Ruff born September 03, 1917, and Noel Dean Ruff born June 06, 1923.

William David Ruff had four other children by his first wife Annie Reagan, (no information). They were Laura Etta Ruff, born March 12, 1900, George William Ruff born February 09, 1902, Ora Mae Ruff born November 15, 1904, and Jettie LaVelle Ruff born April 13, 1908.
