Mrs. Estella Powell Hill was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, Dec. 1887 to the parents of George & Laura Powell. She was baptized @ Philadelphia Baptist Church @ an early age. After moving she joined a church @ Holly Ridge,Louisiana. Later moving to Baucum, Arkansas, she joined Bailey Chapel Baptist Church. Upon moving to this community she united with the New Dora Baptist Church. She for a while lived in Kansas City, Missouri, her pastor there was Rev. C.L. Dickerson. After returning to Arkansas she reunited w/ New Dora & remained until the end came July 4, 1973. She was married to Mr. Charley Hill & to this union three children were born of which two now survive. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Videlura Hill & Mrs. Gertrude McFarland Brooks, both of N.L.R.; one nephew, George Myles of Malvern, AR; one grandson, Charley Franklin of Flint, Michigan; 6 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; other relatives & frienda to mourn her passing.
