She was a daughter of the late Frank and Cynthia Spradlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Thomas Spencer Johnston, one great-grandson Clint Wendell, five brothers and one sister.
Survivors are two daughters, Edith Johnson (Royce) of Mt. Vernon; Pat Nolen (Jerry) of Mt Vernon; two sons; Floyd Johnston (Viola) of Mt Vernon, Shelby Johnston (Carrel Ann) of Mt Vernon; one sister Nora Bell Yancey of Mt Vernon, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren & 15 great-great-grandchildren.
