Belva M. (Kreiling) Tanner, 81, of Bigelow, passed away May 19, 2010, one month and three days after her husband of 52 years, William A. Tanner, Jr.
She was born March 4, 1929 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to the late Forrest and Minta (Sunday) Kreiling.
Mrs. Tanner was involved with the Perry County Republicans, the Wye Mountain Extension Home Makers, wrote the Wye Mountain news for the Petit Jean Headlight, was very involved with church (Wye Mountain United Methodist) volunteered in the daffodil field for 30 years, and in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by one brother, Frank Kreiling of Alma, MI; children, Donna Binz (David), Mark Tanner (special friend Brandie), James Tanner (special friend Tina), William Tanner, III (Janet) and Audrey Anderson (Mike); ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services May 22, 2010 at Wye Mountain United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. LaNita Daniels. Burial will follow at Wye Mountain Cemetery
