SPEARS, Samuel C. – Mrs. Mary E. Spears, widow of Samuel C. Spears, who died May 29, 1914, filed Widow Application #23618 with the Confederate Pension Board of Washington County for a Confederate widow pension and it was received as allowed August 21, 1915 at the State, citing her husband’s service with Company F, 11th Tennessee from 1863 thru 1865. Mrs. Spears died February 18, 1932.

Son of John Spears and Anna Graves Spears
1. Married Susan Emily Clardy, 14 Oct 1860. They had 8 children before Susan passed away in 1888.
2. Married Mary Ellen Cooper Tullis 14 Oct 1888. They also had 8 children who are listed on Mary's memorial on this website.
