Siloam Springs, Nov. 9.— John Hunton, 75 years old, was burned to death and his daughter, Mrs. Frank Edison, was burned severely in a futile attempt to rescue him when the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Edison was destroyed by fire Monday evening. Mrs. Edison was only a short distance from the house when the flames were discovered. Rushing back she attempted to enter the house to save her father who had been in poor health for several years. The flames drove her back and she suffered severe burns. Mr. Hunton is survived by six children, Robert and Adolph Hunton and Mrs. Sally Johnson of Washington county; George Hunton of Oklahoma; Mrs. Lula Cawthon of Iowa and Mrs. Edison. Funeral services will be held Wednesday with burial in the Wedington cemetery.
