Daughter of Cornelius Burgess Foushee and Myrtle Goodwin Foushee. She first married Lamar Walker about 1950. She married J.B. Morris twice, first on Sept. 26, 1969. They divorced about 1980. Gertrude took back the name of Walker, but Gertrude and J.B. remarried Sept. 26, 1992, and they were together until her death. She was a retired telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. She never had any children of her own, but had several step-children, and nieces and nephews whom she loved.
