Killed In Action
Born Baxter County, Arkansas.
Killed in action during the first bloody battle for Saipan. That day, his outfit, sometimes called the Fighting Irish, was surrounded and the unit was ordered to fall back. Pfc. Sinor chose to hold his position. He continued to fire, giving cover to his comrades. He died standing his ground, but not before 200 Japanese lay dead around him. (From a family history).
Son of Theodore and Lucy Ora Stafford Sinor.
