Son of Robert Robinson Griffith & Catherine Griffith.
Married Martha Vian Hodges, September 26, 1897, Baxter County, Arkansas.

John H. Griffith
John H. Griffith, long a resident of Cotter, died at the home of his son, Silas, in Cotter at the age of 66. He was a Baptist minister and at the time of his death was preaching at Clark Ridge. He died after a lingering illness but was not confined to his bed but a few weeks. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Pinley of Mountain Home, and three sons, Silas, Abe, and Henry all of Cotter, and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Powell also of Cotter and several grand children.
A short funeral service was conducted at the home by the Rev. Loyd Conyers after which the body was taken to Pilgrims Rest where services were held by the Rev. Partee and burial in the cemetery there.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Omar Pinley and family, Mrs. Ellie Marvin and son, Rex Powell of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Hahula David of Forsyth, Mo.
Funeral services were under the directon of Adams Funeral Home of Cotter.
