Mrs. Luvena Gilbert, 64, of Route 1, Gassville, a lifetime resident of Baxter County, died on Wednesday of last week at the Baxter General Hospital, only a few days after the death of her husband, Charles Blufford (Bluf) Gilbert.
The daughter of John Henry Marler and Rachel Walker Marler, Mrs. Gilbert was born here August 10, 1906, and was married Dec. 24, 1921. She was a member of West Side Missionalry Baptist Church, on State Highway 126.
Survivors include two brothers, Henry Marler of Rio Linda, Calif, and Grant Marler of Mountain Home; a sister, Mrs. Eva Dilbeck of Gassville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted last Friday at the West Side Baptist Church. Rev. Jack Rainwater of Little Rock and Rev. Clyde Lesley of Booneville were officiating ministers. Interment was in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, under the direction of the McClure-Smith Service.
Pallbearers were Elvin Sanford, Isaac Marler, Wayne Marler, Bobby Conner, Ray Dilbeck and Clifford Lonon.
