Barbara Ann Morphis, age 69, of Montrose, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. She was born December 5, 1943 in McGehee, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Roy Coulter and Hazel Taylor Coulter. She was a homemaker and a member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Morphis and by a brother, Frank Coulter. Survivors are 3 sons, Wayne Morphis of Eudora, Wade Morphis of Lake Village and Kevin Morphis of Bristow, Oklahoma; a daughter, Vickie Edwards of Snyder; 2 brothers, Vernon Coulter and Larry Coulter, both of Montrose;
11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Garrett and Bro. Ray Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Bayou Mason Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
