Delphia Morrison Danuser, 85, of Mountain Home passed away July 5, 2006, at Hospice House. Mrs. Danuser was born at Big Creek Community, Hot Spring County, Arkansas, to Mack and Wilmer Phillips Morrison on September 1, 1920.
Mrs. Danuser was a graduate of Malvern High School, Malvern, Arkansas, and Dodd College in Shreveport, Louisiana. She served as a legal secretary to Bob Bailey of Russellville when he was Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas. She and Roy E. Danuser were married February 14, 1942. They moved to Mountain Home from Little Rock in 1954. Mrs. Danuser was his legal secretary of more than 40 years.
Mrs. Danuser was active in helping to establish the library for Baxter County as well as the first city park and pool. She was a past member and officer of the Business and Professional Women's Club. Mrs. Danuser was an avid fisherman. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home.
Mrs. Danuser is survived by her husband, Roy; two daughters, Beverly Richardson (Peter) of McMinnville, Oregon, and Nancy (Dwain) Reed of Mountain Home; four grandchildren, Laura (Jerry) Doll and Jennifer (Alex) Sokol Blosser of Oregon, and Christopher (Julia) Reed and Emily (Chris Steele) Reed of Mountain Home; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Rush (Jo) Morrison of Bismarck; a cousin Charles (Gloria) Phillips of Benton, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
