Lula Belle “Lou” Loving, age 71, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010, at her residence.
She was born July 25, 1938, in Buffalo, Arkansas, to Marshall W. and Rena Ivon Duggins Knight. Ms. Loving retired as a manager of food services for Mountain Home Public Schools. A well-known cook, she was very family oriented and enjoyed taking care of family and friends. She dearly loved her grandchildren. She was a Methodist and enjoyed puzzles and politics.
Survivors are a son: Shawn (Tabitha) Loving: Mountain Home; two daughters: Sammy Roof: Chester, South Carolina, and Carrie (John Jacob) Cook: Paragould, Arkansas; three stepsons: Dennis (Barbara) Watters: Shreveport, Louisiana; Charles (Pam) Watters and Joe Bill (Pauline) Watters: all of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers: Jimmy (Carol Sue) Knight: Gassville; and Claudie (Judy) Knight: Mountain Home; three sisters: Bessie (T.J.) Henderson and Nancy (Joey) Crawford: all of Mountain Home; and Jessie (Harold) Flippin: Fairview; 14 grandchildren: Michelle, D.J., Shawna, Keith, Chris, Darlene, Nicholas, Kylee, Kristen, Matthew, Jacob, Samuel, Lauren and Lane; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Richard S. Watters: four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Thursday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday in the Roller Chapel with Reverend Randy Ludwig, Jeff Quick, Marcus Flippin and Wesley Henderson officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Love in Baxter Memorial Gardens with Alan Henderson, John Massey, Tommy Knight, Bob Wortman, Ryan Stone, Sam Haney and Monty Barnett as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
