Henry J. Fancher Dies Tuesday;
Services Thursday
Henry James Fancher, 80, resident of Fayetteville for the past 13 years, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at his home on North Church street.
Funeral services are to be held Thursday at 2 o'clock at the Nelson-Savage Funeral home. Rev. H.H. Griffin, pastor of Central Methodist church of which Mr. Fancher was a member, will conduct the services, assisted by Rev. Sam Yancey. Burial will be in Fairview.
Mr. Fancher is survived by his wife and three sons: Otis Fancher of Fayetteville and Grover and Henry J. Fancher, Jr., both of Clinton; by one sister, Mrs. Dally Harris of Timpson, Tex., and three grandchildren.
Mr. Fancher was born July 8, 1860 in Marthaville, La. The family moved here from Muskogee, Okla., 13 years ago.
Honorary pallbearers named for the services are: C.W. Harrington, Dr. C.G. Melton, Frank Barr, C.A. Marshall, J.F. Winchester, Levi Lewis, Tom Taylor, A.L. Shamblin, W.S. Campbell and Bob White.
Active pallbearers will be G.C. Ricketts, Jimmie Head, Herman Eason, V. James Ptak, Leslie Nations, Lanier Green and W.L. Stonecipher.
