The obituary of the late Sis. Addie Settles Horton, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Mance Settles, was born Oct. 26, 1912. She was married to the late Mr. O.C. Tims. To this union two children were born. In the year of 1952 she was married to Mr. George Horton,Sr. She professed a hope in Christ @ an early age, and united w/ the Union Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Frank Williams. She later joined the St. Mark Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. C.A. Canady & remained there until death. She departed this life on Nov. 22, 1974 @ 9:30 A.M. She leaves to mourn in her passing: husband, Mr. George Horton,Sr.; three stepsons- Mr.George Horton,Jr., and Mr. Clarence Horton of L.R.,AR. Mr. Namon Horton of St.Louis, MO.; two daughters - Mrs. Mattie Mae Malone & Mrs. Georgia Lee Fowler of N.L.R.,AR.; two stepdaughters - Mrs. Elouise Henderson, & Mrs. Geraldine Horton of Chicago,IL.; three brothers - Mr. William Settles, Mr. Mance Settles,Jr., & Mr. Johnny Settles, all of N.L.R.,AR.; two sisters - Mrs. Alberta Ware & Mrs. Georgiana Washington of N.L.R.; 12 grandchildren, & a host of nieces, nephews & friends.
