Son of Samuel Nelson Ramsey & Emma Ellen Herron Ramsey.
Married Ina C. Jennings, September 3, 1955, Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas.

William A. "Dub" Ramsey son of Samuel Nelson, and Emma Ellen Herron Ramsey. He married Ina C. Jennings on September 3, 1955, at Harrison, Arkansas. He was the father of Risa Dawn Ramsey Ralph, and Arnold Jennings Ramsey.

He worked as a public school educator and counselor for 34 years in Cotter, Calico Rock, Dell, Perryville, Mo., and Sainte Genevieve, Mo. For the last 23 years, he was junior high school counselor in Sainte Genevieve, Mo., before his retirement to Melbourne. He had two college degrees from Arkansas State University, and a degree from Henderson State University. He also attended several other colleges and universities.

He was a life member of Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, past president of the Izard County Retired Teachers and School Employees Association, and Missouri State Teachers Association, Southeast Missouri Guidance Association, and Sainte Genevieve Teachers Association.

He was a Korean War veteran, having served in Japan and Korea. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the Melbourne Masonic Lodge for 46 years and a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the North Central Scottish Rites in Mountain Home and a member of Scotish Rite Freemasonry Valley of Little Rock Orient of Arkansas.

He was vice president of Izard County Genealogical and Historical and a volunteer at the Melbourne Museum. He was a member of Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and Sainte Genevieve Community Civic Club
