*Obituary
Ewell Loyd Ramsey, 66, of Sage, died Sun., Jan. 10, 1982 in Batesville, AR. He was born at Zion and was a farmer, of the Baptist faith, and a Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Wommack Ramsey, of the home; two daughters, Mary Dover of N. Little Rock, and Betty Webb of Mt. Pleasant; four brothers, Joe Ramsey of Melbourne, Charlie Ramsey of Franklin, Floyd Ramsey of Cave City, and Gail Ramsey of Mtn. Home; one sister, Gusta Chipman of Monette; three grandsons, Jerry Webb, Dennis and Douglas Dover; one great granddaughter, Andrea Webb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Maude Ramsey; two brothers, Nelson and Earl Ramsey; and one sister, Hilda Abbott.
Funeral services were Tues., Jan. 12 at Midway Baptist Church with Bro. Elvis Sneathern, and Rev. Mitch Tapson officiating. Burial was in Caney Springs Cemetery, near Sage, with arrangements by Crouch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Doyne Langston, Bobby Tate, Almie Melton, Cub Rush, Ron Jones and R.D. Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Green Brown, Tom Hall, Hoyt Jackson, Leonard Davis, Sid Black, Walden Tomlinson and Johnny Shell.
