Bill Perry, age 72, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. He was born December 6, 1936 in LaCross, Kansas to the late William J. and Ruth (Gray) Perry. He was also preceded in death by his late wife: Edith Perry.
Mr. Perry married Troylene Hale November 26, 1977 in Joplin, Missouri. He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ where he served as head Deacon, Toast Masters and he was the past president of the Joplin Lion's Club. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. He was the former District Manager for Farmers Insurance in Southwest, Missouri, the owner of the former Villa Italliano in Corpus Christi, Texas and Flowers from Perrydise in Joplin, Missoouri and was the owner/broker of A-1 Agency Real Estate in Joplin, Missouri.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife: Troylene Perry of the home, a son: William Perry III and a daughter: Taunya Lesley and son-in-law Greg, five grandchildren: Jay Gibby, Shawna, Taunya, Chase and Gabi Perry and three great grandchildren: Kelsey and Jayson Gibby and Buddy Zimmerman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ with Reverend Ron Rector officiating. Interment will be in Ganderville Cemetery in Summers, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
