Mrs. Gertrude Rasmussen, 72, 1008 N. Hickory, C, who would have marked her 73rd birthday anniversary Tuesday, died at 6 a.m. Friday (Nov. 12, 1965) at Mercy Hospital, U. She was admitted to the hospital Oct. 12.
Owens Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. The body will be taken to McNabb Funeral Home Pocahontas, Ark., where visitation will take place Saturday afternoon and evening. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist Church, Ravenden, Ark., with interment in a cemetery in Ravenden area.
Born Nov. 16, 1892 in Walnut Ridge, Ark., Mrs. Rasmussen was the daughter of Rev. William T. and Martha Ann (Holder) Sharp. She leaves one son, Martin Rasmussen, Warren, Ind., and one daughter, Mrs. Pearl (LaVern) Kelsey, 1008 N. Hickory, C; one brother, living in California, and two sisters who live in Arkansas.
Since the death of her husband eight years ago, Mrs. Rasmussen had spent part of her time in Arkansas and the remainder of her time with her daughter in Champaign.
